Entry Requirements
1. Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens.
2.The information page of valid Ordinary Passport. Visa page or Residence Permit page is required for applicants currently in China.
3. 5 IGCSE/O-levels grade A-D or 9-4 (new grading system) in relevant subjects, excluding native language/GED/graduation certificate and transcripts of a vocational technical institute/completion certificate and transcripts issued by the current school which show applicant has successfully completed two years of high school study.
4. Applicants who apply for Chinese medium program starting in spring semester are required to submit HSK Level 4 with 180 scores or above.
5. Original copy of Foreigner Physical Examination Form (must be filled out in Chinese or English, the result is only valid for 1 year).

Program Description
1. Program Overview
Editor Notes: The program is suited for those who do not meet the minimum requirements for direct entry into SCUT's undergraduate programs.
- Designed to prepare international students to operate in a university.
- Familiarizing with the requirements needed to succeed as an undergraduate student.
- All courses are conducted in English by SCUT lecturers and by experienced English-speaking instructors.
2. Main Courses
Editor Notes: Students will study a various kind of courses.
Mathematics, Physics, Comprehensive Chinese, IT Chinese, Specialty Chinese.
3. Graduation
Editor Notes: After completing this program, students can choose whether English-taught or Chinese-taught undergraduate degree program.
Students are guaranteed admission to English-taught undergraduate degree programs at SCUT if they successfully complete the program. Students can also apply for Chinese-taught degree programs if they meet the basic Chinese language requirements. Upon successful completion of the program, a certificate recognized by other higher education institutions will be awarded.

3. Certificate of HSK
Chinese-medium program offers spring semester intake, which applicants are required to submit HSK 4 or above.
*4. Foreigner Physical Examination Form
Please take it to hospital to have a checkup with all items, including personal information, photo, checking date, doctors' suggestion and signature.
*5. High School O'Level Certificate and Transcripts
Certificate in languages other than Chinese or English should be translated into Chinese or English and be certified by notarization. Both original and official English translated version are required.

Academic Transcripts in languages other than Chinese or English should be translated into Chinese or English and be certified by notarization. Both original and official English translated version are required.
7. Supporting Documents: Certificate of Good Conduct
Provided by your current/previous school/company in Chinese/English to improve your success rate.
